First Love
It all started with a wooden racquet and Nanna who wanted to keep a very active young boy occupied. As soon as she put the racquet in my hand, I was immediately besotted by the act of hitting a tennis ball against a wall - little did I know that this was the beginning of a lifelong love of tennis. I would drag my father (Nick) onto any court we could find to play tennis as often as possible.

Junior Success
Through tennis coaching at school, I was put forward for a Surrey County trial at the age of ten. This led to a memorable junior career playing for Surrey, which culminated in becoming National Under 18 County Champions in 2006.
Throughout these memorable junior years - especially the open summer tournaments - I played across Surrey from under 10 to under 18 level. This led to a wonderful highlight in 2004, culminating in our Under 18 Woking Lawn Tennis Club team coming runners up in the British Club National Championships.
As a team player, it was a true privilege to be part of these tremendous teams. As an individual player, my proudest moments were becoming Surrey County Champion for three consecutive years, as well as winning multiple doubles titles alongside one of my dearest friends at Pit Farm, Woking, St George's Hill, Cranleigh, Aldershot and the Surrey County Championships.

France and University of Nottingham
During a gap year, I trained and competed in the south of France at ISP Tennis Academy. Whilst having the wonderful opportunity to embrace the red clay and compete successfully in various tournaments across the southeast of France, little did I know that I would be invited back as a coach a few years later. Embracing the opportunity to train alongside former ATP world number 6 (Gael Monfils) and play practice matches against former WTA world number 11 (Alize Cornet), it was both a true pleasure and an unforgettable experience.
Returning to UK for higher education, it was an honour to be elected Captain of the University of Nottingham Men’s 1st Tennis Team, completing an undefeated season in the league and successfully gaining promotion to the Tennis Premier Division of British Universities.

Giving Back to Tennis
Having taken so much from the special sport of tennis, it is wonderful to have the opportunity to give back as much as possible. Tennis has been, remains and will always be a very significant part of my life. I am extremely excited to nurture future talent on their tennis journey.
